About Us

Honoring our past, serving our community, building our future.

Adams Township has a rich history dating back to 1836, when it was formed from the southern half of Moscow Township. Named after early settler Henry Adams, the community grew from a small pioneer settlement into a thriving rural township. Its first supervisor, Salmon Sharp, also served as the inaugural postmaster when the Adams Post Office opened in 1837. Over the years, the township has evolved from farmland and early industry into a close-knit community that blends its agricultural roots with modern living, while preserving the rural character and neighborly spirit that have defined it for nearly two centuries.
